The visit
A 25-year journey, and the next step
On 10 March 2026, Sacoma Global Ltd had the honour of hosting H.E. Dr. Musalia Mudavadi, Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary for the Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs of Kenya, accompanied by H.E. Amb. Maurice Makoloo, Kenya's High Commissioner to the UK. It was the final engagement of the PCS's official visit to the United Kingdom.
The visit offered a moment to reflect on Sacoma's journey of more than 25 years, building bridges between Kenyan producers and global markets through food innovation, sustainable supply chains and international trade. With our partners we produce, import and distribute products including sweet potatoes, coffee, tea, moringa, avocados and baby formula milk.
But the conversation was not just about the past. It was about the future of agricultural trade.
“…It was encouraging to see how Sacoma is building the capacity of Kenyan producers while connecting them to markets in the UK, Europe and beyond…”

Looking ahead
Diaspora innovation, shaping Kenya's food future
In his remarks, PCS Mudavadi reaffirmed the Government of Kenya's commitment to supporting diaspora-driven innovation that strengthens food systems, expands exports and creates jobs, pointing to financing, skills development and technology transfer as the enablers.
The message was clear: the diaspora can play a powerful role in shaping the future of Kenya's food and agriculture value chains. It reinforced what we believe at Sacoma. The future of food systems will be built through partnerships, technology and shared vision, and we are proud to keep building it.
“Your kind of patient yet innovative work is inspiring and demonstrates the strategic importance of our diaspora.”
